Nappy Revolution

Hopefully we're already preaching to the converted but just in case you haven't yet joined the 'nappy revolution', you might like to think about this… Disposable nappies contribute up to 4% of annual landfill waste in the UK. No one really knows how long a disposable nappy takes to biodegrade. They've only been around for 20 years or so and it hasn't happened yet!
Estimates range from 50 to 200 years which means that your child's soiled nappies will probably outlive him. The average price of a disposable nappy is 14.5p. This means that over 2.5 years you will spend around £800 on nappies, a lot more if you use the premium brands.
You can buy cloth nappies, wraps and all the necessary accessories for around £300. Even allowing for detergent, electricity and wear and tear on your washing machine, that's still a considerable saving! And you can save even more money by using the cloth nappies on your next child too!
Disposable nappies keep your baby dry because they contain chemical gels which soak up moisture. Obviously these have been safety tested before being put on the shelves but by using organic, cloth nappies you can be absolutely certain that no potentially harmful chemicals are anywhere near you baby's bottom!
